Climb the viewing platform to see the Reflow Accumulation Table. A staple piece of equipment in many round container packaging lines, this accumulator can also be designed to accumulate non-round packages. Also new to Pack Expo Las Vegas is the Live Roller Metering and Merge Conveyor. This new concept using roller top conveyors and an engaging belt under the chain is a very simple solution for metering and merging products. There are no sophisticated controls needed for the merging process, just use plow rails or powered side rails to single file products. This simple solution translates into less maintenance and less investment in the equipment purchase. This equipment has been repeatedly tested and easily handles many kinds of packages including pouches, trays and sleeved products with great success. The Servo Merge Device is also integrated into the Live Roller Merge display. This 90 degree Servo Sweep provides high speed product reorientation in a very small footprint. The servo technology provides precise motion profile force for reliable high speed packaging. Nercon has engineered this device for packages, trays and sleeved products with no damage to the packaging while maintaining speeds up to 90 products per minute.
The Side Gripper Conveyor is another device demonstrating a gap transfer on the Live Roller display loop. This device is also used for downed bottle elimination and for code dating applications. The unit is adjustable to various product widths and available in mild and stainless steel. This Side Gripper solution is part of Nercon's pre-engineered stock conveyor line called Modular Conveyor Express.
Angled Roller and Roller Top Conveyors are also featured at Pack Expo Las Vegas and is one of the largest ARB displays you will see at the show. Angled Roller Belt technology aligns cases without the use of rails, which not only reduces equipment costs, but also minimizes labor costs in clearing jams and correcting stoppages. This show conveyor is demonstrating a 90 degree transfer, sorting, diverting, horizontal switching, aigning, centering, bump turning, accumulating and metering, all in one continuous loop. Nercon's Modular Conveyor Express line of pre-engineered conveyors provides hundreds of components in stock. Accessories, bolt-ons and less common components are still pre-engineered and quickly fabricated for fast delivery.
